Covid 19

The Bridge for Heroes has continued to provide support to Veterans in need throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and has been a lifeline for many who, due to the restrictions placed on both local and national services, were unable to receive help elsewhere.

The Bridge for Heroes visits Muckleburgh Military Collection

A visit was organised on the 19th August for beneficiaries of the Bridge For Heroes to the Muckleburgh Military Collection. The purpose of the visit was to both get veterans out of their homes for the day with their peers and to also look into the possibility of doing some voluntary community work for the Museum which houses probably the best collection of military vehicles and equipment in the Eastern region.

Veteran’s Gruelling 100 Mile Ride

Mark Howard set a challenge to ride 100 miles to raise money for The Bridge for Heroes to provide help and support to other veterans and their families.

Mark relies on a wheelchair after suffering two serious injuries and took up hand cycling in 2013.
