Why Volunteering at The Bridge for Heroes is a Transformative Experience!

Do you have a spare hour in the week? Do you like to garden/ Drive/ cook? Have you ever thought about volunteering? We have an opportunity for you!

The Bridge for Heroes is a lifeline for many people within the Armed Forces Community.

The Staff and existing volunteers work hard to maintain the level of care and support that is provided… but there is still more that can be done and that’s where just giving an hour a week of your time can make such a difference.

For those with green fingers and a love for the outdoors, volunteering as a gardener is about more than just plants. It’s an opportunity to get moving, chat to people walking by and have a brew afterwards! 10 minutes a week in our garden could make a huge difference!

Volunteering as a cook at The Bridge for Heroes means more than just preparing food; your culinary creations can be a source of comfort and joy for those in need. At The Bridge for Heroes, we love to serve homemade meals everyday… so we’re always in need of cooks.

We’re currently looking to expand our outreach programme. You could help by volunteering as a driver, giving people a lift from their homes into the Drop In Centre and back again! …This could make a huge difference to someone’s day.
