A big thank you to Roni & John who have offered to take over the upkeep of our Garden Of Reflection, from Gordin, during the summer. They still need willing volunteers to help water and weed it from time to time.

So please show your support ans help out when you can, especially over the dryer spells, when the garden would appreciate a dousing, little and often.

Thank you to Gordon, Jon, John T, Jim, Pat, Dorothy and Mike for all your efforts in keeping the garden looking spectacular!

The Bridge foe Heroes, Chain Gang have donned their cycling gear and got back in their saddles for the first time this year, riding from St Ives to Cambridge with a local hand cyclist group. they are keen to clock up the miles and attain greater distances and times to those achieved last year.

They have already planned to tackle the Isle of Man again and are actively looking for other routes and tours to help improve their stamina and speed.

If you would like to join the group or sponsor their worthy cause of raising much needed funds for The Bridge for Heroes, Bridge centre and homeless projects, please visit our fundraising page or contact us directly at the Centre.

The Board of Trustees are looking at the possibility of QR codes, provided by a company called 'My Thyngs'. The codes allow people who don't carry cash, but use payment systems on their phones, to make donations.

The codes can be placed on business cards or for instance on collection buckets, posters or lanyards. Business cards printed with QR codes would have an advantage of privacy - donors could take them away and input their details, such as bank codes and passwords in private.

Our Garden of Reflection continues to delight, inspire, and provide a tranquil place to sit and watch the world go by. The bulbs and plants planted last year have come back with clarity and colour, especially the river flow of grape hyacinths.

You can still help in the garden anytime and as the warmer weather comes the garden will need to be watered frequently. Please come in and ask for Sharron if you can spare 10 minutes!
