As you can see we are once again clearly delighted to be invited to host tours of the Air Raid Shelters; located beneath the Tuesday Market Place, Kings Lynn.

Volunteers from The Bridge Centre and local Sea Cadets hosted tours and gave members of the public an insight into the shelters which when in use would have accommodated 400 people during the War.

Members of the Guardian Troop were also on hand to provide support and raise awareness during the day.

Wind speeds of more than 50mph did not stop the 'bikers' attending 'Funders in the Fens', pitching up their tents and enjoying a weekend of music, beer, belly dancing and a raffle. The Deputy Chair of trustees of The Bridge for Heroes, Gordon , was in his element and even showed those belly dancers some moves of his own!

Alf and Annabel are the brains behind 'Funders in the Fens' which they started a few years back helping to raise much needed funds for a local special needs school. Once they had achieved their goal they looked for another worthy cause, and chose us!

They have spent many long hours organising the event and probed an outstanding weekend of fun, laughter and entertainment. When the gale force winds tried to put a dampener on the weekend, everyone pulled together to clamp down the marquee and the tents so the party could continue.
Annes jams were very popular at our awareness stall. Sharron and Dave braved the late nights against the elements and were there bright and breezy in the morning to see the Saturday Ride out.

Alf and some of the other 'bikers' will be riding into King's Lynn to present us with a Donation.

A big thank you to all of those who helped make it a great weekend!

The competition judges visited on 18th July and were very impressed of our Garden of Reflection.
Thanks to Roni & John for their ongoing work, and preparing the Garden for the competition. With help of others they have created a spectacular display that is admired daily by members of the public. The garden has truly been a team effort, Thank you to everyone who has helped maintain and forever improving the display!
The winners of the competition awards will announced in the upcoming weeks.

We attended the craft and country fair despite the rain trying to ruin our Bridge for Heroes stall, but thankfully after the down pour, the sun managed to dry most things out!
The event raised money for the West Norfolk Riding for Disabled, Magpie Centre.
