ABF Visit

The ABF The Soldiers' Charity visited both The Bridge Centre and Nelson House Activity Centre on the 15th February 23 to see for themselves the wonderful work we are doing with our volunteers and beneficiaries and to see how their generous financial support is directly benefiting our military veterans.  It was a great visit and the ABF reprsentatives were extremely impressed with the work that we are acheiving at both centres

Visit by H4H

The Bridge for Heroes was delighted to have hosted Lucy Graham, Fellowship Development Manager and Rob Skipper, Sport Activity Fellowship Lead (East) from Help for Heroes on 21 February 2022. Lucy and Rob heard first hand accounts from our beneficiaries about the work that we do and the difference it has made to their lives. We discussed the importance of collaborative working and we identified areas of mutualality that we can explore further to the benefit of our beneficaries

SSAFA Visit

The Bridge for Heroes was delighted to host Jacob Shell, who is currently developing the SSAFA East of England Area Office, to see for himself the range of activities offered at the Nelson House Activity Centre (that we call 'Project Nile'), which is part of the Veterans' Places, Pathways and People (VPPP) programme. Jacob stated that "It was great to visit Nelson House Activity Centre today and to see for myself your VPPP project and the wonderful range of activities that you offer to veterans and their immediate families. The dedication and commitment of the staff was plain to see and I look forward to working collaboratively with The Bridge for Heroes in the future to determine how we can best dovetail our projects with the best interests of the veterans we serve in mind".
