The ABF The Soldiers' Charity visited both The Bridge Centre and Nelson House Activity Centre on the 15th February 23 to see for themselves the wonderful work we are doing with our volunteers and beneficiaries and to see how their generous financial support is directly benefiting our military veterans. It was a great visit and the ABF reprsentatives were extremely impressed with the work that we are acheiving at both centres
The Bridge for Heroes was delighted to have hosted Lucy Graham, Fellowship Development Manager and Rob Skipper, Sport Activity Fellowship Lead (East) from Help for Heroes on 21 February 2022. Lucy and Rob heard first hand accounts from our beneficiaries about the work that we do and the difference it has made to their lives. We discussed the importance of collaborative working and we identified areas of mutualality that we can explore further to the benefit of our beneficaries

Meet Private Reginald Tweedy; a local Lynn lad who many of you bump into when walking into town through South Clough Lane from St James Multi-Storey car park. Reginald gave his life on 11th August 1917 in Flanders aged just 19. His story is on the plaque situated close to where he now stands. Please spare a few seconds with Reginald as you pass so that he knows that you will never forget
There was a fantastic turnout on Sunday 13th November at the King's Lynn Cenotaph in Tower Gardens for Remembrance Sunday. The Bridge for Heroes laid a wreath and Mark Howard, a veteran of The Life Guards and one of our beneficiaries, was chosen to lay a wreath on behalf of The Live and Let Live Public House
Representatives of The Bridge for Heroes were privileged to take part in the Royal British Legion's parade on Sunday 6th November 2022, together with the Army and Air Force Cadets. General the Lord Dannatt and the Lady Mayoress of King’s Lynn & West Norfolk planted an Oak tree as part of Queen Elizabeth II’s ‘Green Canopy’ initiative, which his Majesty has extended to 31st March 2023.
Christmas is just around the corner and The Bridge for Heroes is holding a Christmas Fair offering novel items, for a donation, that have been made by WISE Enterprise (Wounded Injured and Sick veterans and their families). If you can, pay us a visit to see what we have for offer
Are you a partner who is supporting a veteran of HM Forces who has PTSD or other Mental Health need? If so, The Bridge for Heroes is holding a 'Silent Partner' Support Group on 23rd November between 2pm & 3pm at The Bridge Centre in South Clough Lane and you are invited to take part. There will be an Open Day at Nelson House on 17th November 2022 between 12 & 4pm to showcase the range of activities that The Bridge for Heroes offers to its beneficiaries and to view the range of products that are created by the various Groups, which are available to everybody for an appropriate donation. Members of the public are most welcome.
