Women's Contribution to the Armed Forces

In line with our theme of Women’s Contribution to the Armed Forces this month, here is an image taken from the Women’s Royal Army Corps booklet of 1963. This is Dorothy who is one our core volunteers, aged 24, riding on a Camel whilst serving in Aden.  Dorothy went on to serve in the Metropolitan Police Force.  Now 84, Dorothy lives in West Norfolk and apart from volunteering, actively engages in many of the activity opportunities offered by The Bridge for Heroes.
