(24th September 2019)

On Tuesday 24th September a small group took part in Richards Northern Island meeting. This was an informal discussion about events, equipment and feelings/memories that supporting or serving in the Providence during your military service has left with you. It was a difficult time for many Service Personal.

Recent discussions focused on the weapons, tactics and equipment - also looking at how equipment and experience was used in other parts of HM Forces to either greater or lesser effect; such as the NI Gloves becoming standard issue rather than woolen gloves. Richard had an array of pictures which helped to trigger discussions about the times and Operation Motorman in July 1972.

If you would like to attend please refer to our events page for more information on timings and dates, or alternatively contact us directly for more information.
